“CoCounsel and Westlaw Advantage AI Deep Research Incident”
On 27 October, Thomson Reuters Legal had a major outage affecting HighQ instances hosted in its US data centre. It lasted 10 h 44 min, from 15:20 to 02:04 UTC on 28 October. File uploads, downloads and viewing failed at first, and from 16:03 the affected instances were shut down and unavailable. The status page attributed this to a storage issue and said access was restored by 02:02, after recovery with its cloud provider and validation. Although the outage was also listed as a CoCounsel and Westlaw Advantage AI Deep Research incident, the status page's updates described only the HighQ problem. Claude, PowerSchool, OpenAI and several other services also had problems at the same time.
