On 7 October, GitHub had a critical outage affecting Git Operations, Issues, Actions and Pull Requests, which was tracked from 17:18 to 18:06 UTC (49 minutes). GitHub's status page said the widespread impact actually ran from 16:52 to 17:01 UTC, before the incident was opened, and described it as a recurrence of an incident from earlier that day; no cause was stated. OpenAI and GitLab also reported minor issues at the same time.
