“API Performance Issues”
On 9 October, VRChat had a major outage. The status page reported degraded performance and instability in its API systems that stopped the VRChat client and website from working normally. The incident was open from 22:26 to 23:33 UTC (1 h 6 min), but the status page's updates said latency and errors were back to normal levels by 23:00. During that period the friends list component was affected from 22:26 to 23:00. Cursor, Asana, Gamma and Sprout Social also reported problems around the same time.
