“Disruption with some GitHub services”
On 5 October, GitHub's status page reported a disruption that was open from 23:47 UTC until 01:32 UTC on 6 October, about 1 h 45 min, affecting organization and enterprise billing, licensing, and settings pages. The status page's final update gave a different impact window, 23:05 to 00:11 UTC, with slow page loads, timeouts, and errors peaking at 13.8% of requests. It attributed the problem to a networking failure between a datacenter region and cloud-hosted database services. Roblox, Stripe, and Litmus also had problems during the same period.
