# Shopify outage on 29 October 2026

> On 29 October, Shopify had a major outage in which some merchants saw errors, slow loading and 504 time-out messages in the Shopify admin, including the mobile app. The incident was open for 42 minutes, from 08:18 to 09:00 UTC, but the status page's final update said the errors had begun at 07:53 and a fix was implemented at 08:30, and an 08:43 update said the web admin was fully available while work on the mobile version continued. Archive of Our Own and Sufio also had problems at the same time.
