> On 21 October, OpenAI had a major outage with elevated error rates for API requests to gpt-5.6-luna and for FedRAMP API requests to Astra and Sol, lasting 5 h 18 min from 14:18 to 19:35 UTC. The status page's first updates were timestamped 13:42 and 13:51, before the incident opened at 14:17, so errors were being reported earlier than the official start. The status page said a mitigation was applied at 16:46 and reported full recovery at 19:34.
